Application materials

Materials submitted for the 2026 cycle.

  1. Curriculum vitaeA concise record of education, appointments, research, practice, publications, exhibitions, and relevant work.
  2. Research proposalApproximately 1,500-2,000 words, including question, context, approach, work plan, host environment, and intended contribution.
  3. Personal statementNo more than 750 words, explaining the applicant's trajectory and the importance of the proposed Fellowship period.
  4. Three representative worksSelected research, publications, projects, prototypes, exhibitions, films, or other work relevant to the proposal.
  5. Host information and supporting documentationAppointment or affiliation evidence for an existing environment; an offer, invitation, or acceptance where available for a new host; or evidence of substantive communication if arrangements remain in progress.
  6. Two reference lettersSubmitted separately and directly by the referees by the same deadline.

Applicants were required to identify an appropriate research environment and document the status of that relationship. Existing affiliates provided appointment or affiliation evidence. Applicants proposing a new host provided an offer or invitation where available, or substantive correspondence where arrangements were still developing.
